Credit Unions are Economic Democracies
A credit union is a cooperative financial institution, locally owned and operated by the members who use its services. Nearly everyone in Washington and Oregon is eligible to join a credit union. Credit unions exist for solely to serve their members, not to make a profit. Credit unions are typically able to offer better rates on loans and a better return on savings than for-profit financial institutions. Because credit unions operate under a volunteer governance structure, they do not pay board members or dividends to stockholders. Credit unions are concerned about the economic well-being of their members.

Some years ago credit unions came up with an innovative idea. Why don’t we let credit union members from other credit unions use our ATMs free? Today our networks offer about 28,000surcharge-free networks of ATMs for use by credit union members. You can use our ATM Locator Tool to find the nearest free ATMs to your home, work, school, or hotel.
