Imagine using a bucket of water to wash your car, but the only bucket you have has a hole in it. With this challenge you have three choices: 1) Keep filling the bucket with water; 2) Fix the hole, or; 3) Get a new bucket. "So", you ask, what has this got to do with member retention? A lot of Credit Unions go with approach number one to fix their customer retention issues. Instead of fixing the root causes of their problem, they simply top off their "bucket" with lots of new members to replace the ones that leak out of the "holes". The Leaky Bucket approach is a very expensive way to run a business as you can spend a fortune on acquisition for very little profitable growth. Conversely, retaining your existing members and delivering profitable growth can be gained with a few simple steps that include identifying the cause of your retention problem, developing a strategy to fix the problem, and exploring ways of attracting the right kind of new members. Learning Objectives: In this audio conference you will learn how to "fix the hole in your membership bucket" so you can grow your credit union membership and increase the number of profitable relationships.
