Imagine using a bucket of water to wash your car, but the only bucket you have has a hole in it. The Leaky Bucket approach is a very expensive way to run a business as you can spend a fortune on acquisition for very little profitable growth. Conversely, retaining your existing members and delivering profitable growth can be gained with a few simple steps that include identifying the cause of your retention problem, developing a strategy to fix the problem, and exploring ways of attracting the right kind of new members.
